What is your role and have long have you been in it?
My role is People and Operations Director and I joined Fintel in September 2020.
What made you want to join Fintel?
It was the opportunity to join a really solid, respected and professional business within the industry that has clear ambitions to grow, specifically through the use of technology and agile working practices. Financial Services as an industry can still be a bit old fashioned at times, so the opportunity to drive positive change in a business like Fintel that has such influence on the industry as a whole, was very attractive to me. My passion is in developing fun, modern cultures, and fostering high levels of colleague engagement that support and drive high performance and growth, so it felt like a good match.
What do you like most about working at Fintel?
It's 100% the people that make it. I've never had such a positive and supportive welcome to a business, something that you'd think would be really difficult to achieve remotely with all of the current restrictions in place. Even though we've all been working remotely, what's been really apparent is we've got a very special group of people here who are passionate not only about providing an excellent service to our customers; but who also take great pride in, and make great efforts to maintain, the strong relationships they've built with each other.
